When @disney contacted me to come up with a fun treat to celebrate the release of Ralph Breaks The Internet, I jumped at the opportunity. Challenge accepted! I love treats and I love the movie so count me in. The movie is out now on digital and releasing on February 26th, 2019 on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray. Be sure to grab yourself a copy!
Now on to the details of creating this delicious shake! This is a SUPER FUN and EASY treat to make on your own or with the family.
Obviously I knew the main ingredient would be SUGAR and lots of it 🙂 ! I wanted to ensure that the shake was sour on the outside and sweet on the inside… just like little Miss Von Schweetz. I used a teal food coloring to capture her adorable outfit and added sprinkles and licorice similar to how they are in her hair.
Here are the ingredients used to make this fun shake.
- Candy – and lot’s of it 🙂
- Heavy Whip Cream
- Milk – of your choice
- Food coloring – teal colored
- Ice cream – vanilla or birthday cake flavored
- Frosting – Vanilla
- Cake Mix – vanilla or funfetti
On to the fun part! Kids will love this and so will you. Coat the top of your cup with vanilla frosting. This will be the glue that keeps the candies in place.
Once you have coated the top of your cup with frosting its time to start adding your delicious candies one by one.
You can always add more candies to use as decoration. I used sour licorice and just slid it onto a wooden skewer.
Once you have finished decorating your cup how you want, you can move on to making the milkshake.
Combine the ice cream (2 cups), milk (1 cup) , food coloring (1-2 drops), and cake mix (1\2 cup) into the blender.
*Makes about 2 servings*
Pour the shake into your cup. Top it off with some heavy whip cream, add sprinkles, candies, and voila! You’ve got your masterpiece. Super fun and easy.
I had a great time creating this fun treat! Give it a try and let me know what you think. Thank you @disney for the fun challenge!
