Churro Challenge – Are you up for it?

Are you up for the delicious Disney Churro Challenge? When I heard that Disney would be offering multiple fun flavored churros I knew I had to try them all. Churro Challenge accepted! There are a total of 6 different churros, however only 5 new and fun flavors.

I’ll share my thoughts with you about each one. So let’s get started in on the fun 🙂

Drum roll🥁…

My TOP PICK goes to: The Carrot Cake Churro🥕 – It’s a churro rolled in cinnamon sugar, served with raisin carrot cream cheese frosting.

It’s delish! Out of all the flavors to try it’s closest to the original churro. What makes it fun is the raisin carrot cream frosting that comes with it. In my opinion the cream cheese frosting is really sweet. I would recommend to go light on the dipping. Other than that I very much enjoyed this one and would definitely get it again.

My 2nd PICK goes to: The Lemon Churro🍋 – It has lemon sugar and multi-colored fruity cereal.

I loved it! I originally thought this would be my top pick and it’s a close second place. If you love fruity pebbles like I do then you will definitely enjoy this one. It smells and tastes delicious. It’s a great breakfast snack if you are at the parks in the morning. All I was missing was a glass of milk 🙂 From all the churros, this one was the least sweet. So if you do not like anything too sweet then you will enjoy this one. The fruity pebbles flavor is the dominant taste and I loved it.

My 3rd Pick – The Bugsland churro 🐜 AND the cocoa churro 🍫 –Yes it’s a tie for me between these two.

The Bugsland churro has donut icing drizzled across a classic churro, dusted with cocoa cereal. This is another one that is close to the original churro but has a fun twist to it. If you love churros and cocoa cereal then this is a fun one to try.

Location of Buglands Churro📍 – This can be found at the churro cart in Bugsland near Heimlich’s Chew Chew Train in DCA.

The Cocoa Churro – this churro has chocolate powder and salted cinnamon sugar served with a spiced Mexican chocolate dipping sauce.

If you are more on the adventurous side and don’t mind a little kick in your foods then you will enjoy this one. The churro itself is chocolate and the Mexican dipping sauce is what has the kick. This churro is favored by many. It’s great, however in my opinion I prefer sweet over spicy with my churros.

Location of Cocoa Churro 📍- This can be found at the churro cart in Frontierland over near Rancho Del Zocalo.

My last pick would go to: The Lotso Strawberry churro🍓 – This churro is pink with strawberry flavored sugar.

This churro smells and looks delicious. You can literally smell it from a distance. It’s a beautiful bright pink color. It does stain your teeth and mouth 🙂 Once you take a bite it also gets everywhere. It’s a bit on the messy side. It had a bit of an after taste. You can taste a bit of the dye which I wasn’t a fan of. However if you love strawberry flavored treats then you should definitely give this one a try.

Lastly if you are not into trying different flavored churros: however still want to have fun and be slightly adventurous you can try the Racer Churros. These churros can be found at the Cozy Cone in DCA. They are your original churros dressed up in fun colors. They have a red, yellow and blue churro available. These are fun photo ops.

Overall I had a blast trying these fun and new flavors. Definitely give the Churro Challenge a try and let me know which one was your favorite. Post your photos and the hashtag #disneychurrochallenge for fun!
